Believe In Your Dreams

Believe in your dreams for they will come true.
If you stop believing that could be the death of you.
Not a death like you might be thinking,
In a grave or coffin sinking.
That would be an easier one, I suppose,
Then your heart and dreams dying enclosed.

Your dreams give you life, they give you inspiration.
To put away the fears and give you determination.
They give you power, they give you flight.
To keep you knowing that everything will be all right.
Dreams lift you up to be all you can be,
What life is really about for you and me.

Dreams are what life purpose is about, it gives drive in each day.
Dreams are what gives hope and lets the sun shine down its rays.
Believing in ones dreams, is the best thing that one can do.
For if they give them up, they feel lost and without a clue.

As a child to adult growing up big and stout,
It seems that most lose touch, with what life is really about.
Not purposely of course and unaware to them to be known.
They start believing life’s illusions by listening to others moans.
The news, media and TV shows have you to believe,
That this is what life is about, they continue to deceive.
The more and more you hear the more and more you feel,
That this might be reality and so it must be really real.
And that is how we question, which then turns into doubt.
That is the formula, of giving up your dreams to go on another route.

From your parents to your teacher’s telling you it’s true,
Dreams are not reality, you need to start planning your life through.
They starts spewing statistics on why you can’t make it to the top.
“It is only the tiniest percentage” they say, “only the cream of the crop”.
They keep throwing facts and figures and tell you the woes of today.
They don’t let up until you feel worried and begin to fray.
As they feel your stress and anxiety, they feel they did their part,
In giving up your dreams and giving their reality a true start.

Intentions are good of course from when they began.
There just caring and wanting you to have a plan.
Caring about your well-being and for what your future brings.
Just wanting you to be secure in life and doing the right thing.
“You need to think about your future and how to be secure”.
“What are you going to do with your life, maybe you can practice law”?
That’s what they say to you and so much more.
I am sure you know the lectures so I won’t be a bore.

Security and happiness are they not the same?
Absolutely not that’s why they have different names!
For one to want security and to feel safe and secure,
That is only based on insecurities and fears they indoor.

It is your garden that is at the root.
What you allow to plant, will bear your fruit.
Build a garden on worry and fear, Is a garden harvest, to stay clear.
What will grow on that farm, are only things that will harm.
Build a garden on hope and desire is a garden harvest to inspire.
What will grow on that crop are only the things to take you to the top.

So let these words echo through,
You are in charge of your garden, Only you!
No one else can plant their seeds,
unless you have allowed and agreed.
You can’t control what others do, What they say or what they spew.
But you can control what you take.
What you say and what you regurgitate.
No matter how many times someone keeps telling you they are right,
It is always your choice to pick to doubt, it’s always your choice to re-route.
The numbers of nonbelievers will greatly outnumber you.
But that is not a reason for you to give up on you.
I am telling you in advance I’m telling you now.
Don’t give up on your dreams you, just because you don’t know how?
One’s life purpose is destined for each one.
Unique for each person to livē out just when they begun.
Leap and the net will appear.
Seems hard for so many who want to control and steer.
Only following roads that others tell them where,
Believing this is the formula that will get them there.
That is the formula that will only bring your demise.
That is not a formula that is misery’s disguise.
All you need is your desire, that is enough to ignite.
No matter what they say, no matter what they hype.
And when life brings you, what life sometimes brings.
Remember the universe is always pulling the strings.

And know there’ll be times, I won’t lie to you,
That you will feel that this might be more than you can chew.
You feel like you have tried and tried, giving everything you have.
Yet nothing is happening which makes you very sad.
“Why haven’t I made it, why am I not there”?
“I am doing everything, it’s really not fair”!
There are times that you will feel and say maybe just that.
Let it only be a moment, dust yourself off and get right back.

Know it is in those times that is their disguise.
Of what we need to learn, to give us are uprise!
When you’re doing everything, you know you need to do.
Remember you’re so close in making all your dreams come true.
Another unseen I want to share, this one is common and not very rare.
When you’re almost there, really really close,
This is where people can give up on their dreams the most.

“How can that be”, I hear you say?
“Knowing they’re almost there and walk away”?
Well that is an unseen, life’s little twist.
For they do not realize, that their “almost” exists.
They are tired and feel they’ve done everything they could.
They start listening to what others are saying, which is not very good.
They have a chance to get back on their feet.
It is up to them and stakes are very steep.
The tests that we are given, there are for reasons you’ll see.
For one needs to believe in oneself, and not just what he sees.

To believe in yourself, to go and persevere.
To believe in your intuition and not give into your fear.
To keep going no matter what others say or do.
These are a few of the tests that life will bring to you.
To follow your dreams and livē what you were born to do.
Know that all the answers will come, but only when they are due.
Many people will argue and tell you that you cannot succeed.
It can feel overwhelming but it is up to you not to concede.
Instantly know then, you are on the right route,
That will give you the strength to block them all out.

For if one does not, I ask you to please remember only this,

That’s the recipe of a life of regret, the opposite of living your life long bliss.
